The Outing

About this outing.

Escape to Lake Manyara for a peaceful two-night camping adventure designed for bird enthusiasts of all levels. The park offers a secluded hideaway atmosphere. The alkaline lake hosts thousands of flamingos, along with pelicans, storks, and herons. Surrounding acacia woodlands and groundwater forests provide ideal habitat for resident and migratory songbirds, while crowned eagles and African fish eagles often soar overhead.

Your stay includes two nights of tented camping at a scenic lakeshore campsite. Evenings feature campfire discussions, night bird listening, and stargazing. Days are spent on slow bird walks along the flat trails, with plenty of shaded pauses to observe and identify bird calls. Beginners are welcome; experienced birders will also find rich rewards.
