Request to Join →Spend two days camping under Kilimanjaro’s big sky at Enduimet Wildlife Management Area. The open savannah and acacia woodlands host over 200 bird species. We’ll focus on finding special dry-country birds: Shelley’s Starling, Singing Bushlark, Shelley’s Francolin, Martial Eagle, and the colorful Northern Carmine Bee-eater. Between bird watching walks, you will get to enjoy a 21 km bike ride along gravel trails, with chances to spot zebra and giraffe.
Evenings feature campfire games like bird call bingo, storytelling under the stars, and gentle night walks to listen and observe owls and nightjars, along with moments to appreciate wildlife and nature.
Details: Elevation 1,230–1,600m with flat ground and few ups and downs · Mostly paved road, paved trail, single-track packed dirt/gravel · Pacing: Slow with frequent stops · Cycling: physically demanding but rewarding · Sun exposure: Full · Two nights camping.
